I sick and tired of the freaking big boards. For every one person I like, there are 25 I cant stand. So, I deleted my account. Nothing against the Mods, just the A-holes.

Your right TwoStripe but you have to learn to deal with people you don't like. I have learned a lot from the big forums on how to deal with people even when you don't agree with them, don't like them,{or can't stand them;D} Thats just the way it is. Get used to it

I don't agree I want my Impression to be perfect. I want a person to look at an original picture and look at me and say we look the same. I have not really run into anyone on the forum who I really don't like there's a few people I don't agree with, but nothing big.

Theres a line and sanity needs to be followed.
I'm not about to paint all my food cans OD for the field. Ill peal the labels off, but the paint is too much and really is a waste. Im not about to switch out all the proper buttons on my M43 jacket, cause you cant tell unless your close (and no one but my girlfriend better get that close!) I dont really care if the tread on the bottom of my boots isn't correct, the rest is good. I dont care if most guys in the Bulge didnt have gloves, im wearing gloves when its cold! I dont care if the date on my belt is 1951, its the exact same patten!
See what I mean?
At the same time, other things are off limits. Post war green overcoats, Korean wools, tanker garands, 42s, .
You guys need to remember theres a balance that needs to be achieved. We're not out here to get ulcers and become elitists over retarded stuff.

"I'm not about to switch out all the proper buttons on my M43 jacket" whats wrong with the buttons on your M43? About the boots do you wear frenchies or somthing. I agree on things that are dated non WWII as long as they look the same as WWII ones. Or wearing non realistic gear untill you stop growing. -sgttom

He has a Norwegian M43, it looks good, but the buttons are the wrong color. I think they look better than repop M43s. The boots are Frenchies.
I use ALL repop and original stuff, except for my boots.
Yes.... I am a Stitch Nazi ;D but I keep my mouth shut.
BTW... 103 didn't have HBTs.... sorry.. the stitch nazi in me had to say that.

Ok fine. I am against using french boots, unless you have growing feet. The soles on them are all wrong and you can spot them even when people are wearing them because the soles are big and they stick out. I probably would change the buttons if they were the wrong color but thats just my personal extra realism drive I have in me ;D LOL I am still a Stitch Nazi guy

Theres a line and sanity needs to be followed. I'm not about to paint all my food cans OD for the field. Ill peal the labels off, but the paint is too much and really is a waste. Why bother? No reason a Mussette bag or ammo can can't hide Dinty Moore stew until it's needed. Seriously, have you ever seen one of the deep pocket purists eating vintage K-rations? Once the food hits your cooking pan, throw the cans in a 2-gallon Ziploc bag, and put it back in the mussete bag and it should be ok. Think about it for a minute, Dinty Moore stew, Hormel corned beef hash and Spam are all historically accurate foodstuffs. Hell even La Choy Chow Mein dates to the 1930’s for those of us watching dietary constrictions, though you had to add your own chicken until the 50’s. Side note: Due to Japanese activity in the Pacific and metal shortages during WWII, La Choy sold its packaging plant to the US government for munitions packaging and moved from Detroit, Michigan to Archbold, Ohio (rural area SW of Toledo).
