Evening Dogfaces,
Heres tonight's new class of instruction lesson. Able Company, U.S. 30th Infantry Regiment has gone out of its way again, just for you. Tonight, we're going to expand, further, your knowledge of the U.S. M-1928 Haversack.
We have laid everything out again, to show you this evening how to "field" pack your U.S. M-1928 Haversack.
*NOTE* This is to give you the individual a base to work from. This is only one soldier's way of "field" packing the U.S. M-1928 Haversack. As it has been stated before, there are multiple ways to "field" pack the U.S .M-1928 Haversack. However, this is to give you JUST a BASE to work from.
During World War II the U.S. Army had a set regulation as to how the U.S M-1928 Haversack was to be properly packed(which you've seen before). However, as many knew prior to combat situations, the regulation packing method would become cumbersome and unwieldy in a combat setting. Therefore, many GI's took the liberty to rearrange the way the U.S. M-1928 Haversack was suppose to be packed individually. They did this in the hopes that the load would not only be lighter on them but, not get them killed all at the same time.
With that note, here is how this GI "field" pack's his U.S. M-1928 Haversack, enjoy....
