Not that I know much about this, but I do know most squads had one man with an M1903 who was the Grenadier. So an 03 would be a good thing to start. The Garands didn't work too well with the launchers at first.

The Garands didn't work too well with the launchers at first. But they were used! I knew 1 or 2 photos, where you can see a GI using the Garand with the launcher.

One of my favorite videos is of a GI in hedgerow country firing a grenade off his Garand. I even talked to a vet who claimed to have hit a kraut in the chest with a grenade off his Garand.

Can you post the video here or tell me the source, please? Regards, It was on PBS (Public Broadcasting System) over here, not sure if you could find the video on-line or not. I beleave it was made by Ken Berns, but I may have the wrong spelling of the last name.

The one for the 03 are very hard to find. If you find oue it will run you about $300 or so. If you know of anyone tha can weild you could make one.

If you want to use an M7 with a M1 you still can all you need to do is blank adapt the launcher just like if you were doing your M1 with a set screw. You can still fire your M1 semi-auto with it as long as you have the right size whole for the screw. It works well.
