Ok, now we are at that point, where all swear on one producer I use STURM products and I´m satisfied with them. Ok, sometimes I have to sew some buttons on again but thats no problem. And the coloris ok. If you wear and wash it, it have and looks like a original M41.

I like the one I got. I knew getting it that it wasn't the greatest but it was cheep. Its not too warm so I can bear wearing it in the heat.

And the buttons look strange, they are almost khaki.

On the sturn jackets we all get them from the same maker as At The Front, the khaki buttons were on some originals not all had those dark brown ones. and they are the exact color of the unissued original sent to copy. They lighten up with usage and as for the liners everyone had to opt for a mix of wool and synthetic because of the import fees wool is quite expensive to import due to some government restrictions.
Just wanted to shed some light.

Thanks John, I understand, I'm just used to seeing dark brown buttons.

I've had 4 repops. The first was one of the European made ones with the backwards zipper. It had a label that said "Officer's Quality". Wool liner. Other than the zipper and the forrest green color of the liner, it was closest to my originals and faded like it too. I got 1 used from John, I use it now, 2 others from pro board sales. 1 is supposedly an SPR leftover. only label says 1944. Color and weight are good. Lining is same color as my original, but not wool. Other is an early ATF. Color is very dark green. I turned it into a USN 41 model deck jacket. I believe this is one of the first before they made thier 41's. as for buttons, All 4 had /have different buttons. I've had 3 original 41 jackets recently and 2 had dark, 1 had light buttons. I have a few spares for the 41 and they are brown bakelite, brown vegetable matter, and tan bakelite. Lots of variation. Fins.
