Well they landed on D-Day at 10 am with the 4th inf division and they fought with them for a while into the nomandie campagin. They became famous along with the rest of the division in the battle for nothern france and were one of the main men in closing the Falaise Pocket where they captured and killed hundreds of German infantry retreating for normandie. They were the first division to get through the sigfried line and were the first into germany. They retreated out of Germany and helped the incircled 101st in Bastogne and then they kept going and by the end of the war they were in chezslovakia. The 90th still holds the record in the ETO for the longest time in combat at 311 days and they lost the most men in for normandie at over half the division.

359th def. landed at Utah with the 4th. That is the main reason my buddies wanted to do 359th, being that they were a D-Day unit.

my uncle was with the 4th until the 10th of June and then they went to help to rest of the Division that were stuck because their Division Commander was rubbish. He was relieved of his command a few days later.Because the division was not experienced it was givin a bad name which really never went away but by the end of the war they were famous with the Heads of command.
