Hi guys I have some projects I plan on doing and some I am doing. First I got a Sturm Cartridge Belt in a huge lot of stuff. www.epicmilitaria.com/shopimages/....tridge_belt.JPG so since I have it I mite as well use it. So I am replacing all the grommets with bigger ones from ATF and am re sewing all the pocket flaps to the correct shap, which I am working on now. It will take awhile but the end product will look good! 2nd I have bought a WWII 1943 dated Cartridge belt off ebay for $14, in poor condition. Frayed on the pocket flaps and some other places, paint stains on two pockets, one snap broke off, 4 grommets missing, one pocket flap ripped off. So I am ordering new materiel and grommets From ATF and I'll be doing some work on it. 3rd Project I am making an Airsoft M1 Garand. I bought this M14 Airsoft rifle Mine was a bit different it had an OD finish instead of a wood one. So I bought an M1 Handguard set off sarco and a Gas Cylinder, Lock, and screw. If you look at an M14 receiver you'll notice it looks similar to an M1 Garand one www.entreprise.com/product_images/m14l.jpg and with a little sanding it can look very good. To make the stock look better I'll use Bondo basically a wood filler type thing. Its used a lot on cars and vehicles. Here are some basic instructions just so you can understand what I am talking about ;D www.ontarioairsoftwwiireenactors.com/PDFs/Upgrades/M14_to_a_M1_Garand.pdf 4th project I plan on doing. A rear seam conversion. You buy a rear seam helmet, then go and buy some wood filer or Bondo. Take the Bondo and fill in the rear seam on the helmet. 2nd sand it down smooth so you can't tell modification has been done. thirdly you take a dremel tool and cut a slit on the seam in the front of the helmet. Then you paint it and it will look a lot like a front seam swivel bail. Cheap and easy 5th Project Next I'll have to start restoring my jeep. ;D just kidding of course
