Well i just wrote up a big detailed report pretty much about this for each item but when I went to post it, it didn't work because Tyler had moved it. Buy yeah it will be expensive no doubt about it. Another tip don't try to go the cheap way always because sometimes it is just worth saving and buying the better quality item. Also don't think you have to buy everything at once or from one vendor. For wools for example I believe you can get originals cheap like me; just remember for the size of pants you should be wearing your pants around your belly button so they will fit different then your normal jeans. What you have listed are just the basics. There are tons of ways to expand your impression such as having original Fm's and Tm's, a repro ID card, having a WW2 Liner and Helmet, etc. Here are some links to vendors online. I am not supporting any specific vendor but you can read reviews on the big board yourself. Don't hesitate to ask any detailed questions, I just don't feel like retyping my whole item by item response. www.atthefront.com/www.wwiiimpressions.comonlinemilitaria.net/shopcontent.asp?type=home or www.whatpriceglory.com/ www.alliedworkshops.com/index.shtml M3 knife and personal items Dog tags with proper chain or tape www.cheapcrapyoudontneedenterprises.com/home.comcast.net/~ww2repro/index.html nice repro Id's www.jmurrayinc1944.com/ expensive helmets and liners www.serviceofsupply.com/www.welldressedgi.com/ good A-4 and jeep Caps www.wwiisupply.com/I don't think you wear glasses but for those that do, like me even though i normally wear contacts, here is a place that is supposed to have good period glasses. Plus the guy is a reenactor and is somewhat local to us. http://ivydiv_mp.tripod.com/spectacleaccoutrements/ Dean

Give me sizes and what all you want. I find stuff all the time. I just don't buy unless I have a use for it. Seein as I'm now among the ranks of unemployed again(actually, I kinda like the break), I'll be shoppin to sell. I only buy good stuff and I know my WW2 gear.

I suggest you look on the WWII Forum you'll find good deals there. Also look on eBay for stuff too. These are the two places I have purchased most of my stuff from. The cheapest good quality boots you can get are from Old Paratrooper the 85$. I own a pair there very well made. Stay away from cheap Chinese Repros, Sportsman's Guide, and Mil-Tec stuff. The only good repro Belts on the Market are WWII Impressions and At the Fronts, What Price Glory's Belts are ok but I here the metal adjuster on the back of there catridge belts snap easily. I got my GP Bag for 15$ on the forum. For the Folding Shovel I think you could get one for 5$ to 10$ with the cover. Keep a look out on eBay I got my wool shirt for 13$ shipped and I got my Haversack for 15$ shipped. So keep your eye on eBay.

Always check with group members first for their overstock. Then check with Old Paratrooper, chances are he's got what you need, and at the best price you'll find.
I would make boots your first purchase because it's amazing what you can borrow from your unit. Next should be your head and John has good prices on helmets, liners and probably has an overseas hat in your size.
Keep away from the Chinese, Indian, and Pakistani made belts as they have no clue about metal alloys and their buckles will snap just looking at them.

Save your money and DON'T but a MilTech M1 belt, the eye holes are totally in the wrong location. The rest of their stuff is fine just that one piece is wrong for some reason.
