I got my dog tags and chain from allied workshops. It seemed like a good deal, 15.00 dollars for the tags and chain.

It was like $6.00 for USPS priority shipping. I got the M3 knife set and a couple other things so it might even be cheaper. They don't clearly state shipping prices on their website but they respond to questions fast and will give you a fair shipping price.

OK, make sure you bring the M-3 to Mifflin, I am thinking about getting one, and would like to see how they are.

Okay. Should I bring the M6 Scabbard that comes with it, or do you just want to see the knife.

One great place is Stamped Out Dog Tags. stampedout.net/I picked up rayon PX purchase cords. Good pricing, service and customer support. Infantry Blue, Cav Yellow and Ordnance Red, just right for ticking off the stitch nazi's. As to the authenticity of bead, it's not wrong, I've got three sets of original tags and all three have beads. One set was Army return from Graves and Registration and removed on July 4th, 1944. The second was a member of the 29th who returned in 45 while the third was 104th and discharged again in 45. It is my firm belief that even before the Army switched over soldiers were replacing the chain saw blade chains with beads and nylon for personal comfort. Jim Edit: Thought they were Arty red and found them to be Ordnance. I suggest using authenticity standards for the unit YOU portray. Chain and Rayon is good for 1st, 3rd and 34th till Sicily but after that Ball is good. For PTO...sorry not my specialty. Second Edit: Friscan reminded me in a helmet thread that the 3rd Heard did not play well with others in Africa as well.
